Eating and Drinking

  • Start off with liquids and soup. Then slowly move from liquids to solid food. Don’t eat fatty, rich or spicy foods at first. If you are on a special diet, be sure to follow that diet.

  • Unless told not to, drink at least six glasses of clear liquids a day. This includes water, apple juice or ginger ale.
