The Ankeny Medical Park Surgery Center (AMPSC) is seeking an Insurance Biller Specialist to join the friendly, fast paced, patient centric organization recognized as being an outstanding surgery center. The ideal candidate will have experience with denials and claims management and supporting the payment reimbursement process. This full-time Hybrid opportunity is based out of Ankeny, Iowa and will work Monday - Friday. Upon a successful training period, this individual will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule with request to come into the office as needed. To be eligible for this opportunity candidates must live within 60 miles of the AMPSC.

Do I want this job? You will be a resource for peers, patients and physicians that may have questions or concerns regarding medical claims, medical billing and payments. You will work closely with payers and review payments to ensure correct and timely reimbursement. You are detail oriented and will monitor accounts for accurate payments and post charges in a timely manner. You can keep patient billing transactions organized and are confident providing billing education. You are familiar with State and Federal Regulatory standards. You will be naturally curious, friendly and helpful. You will collaborate with peers and other administrative professionals from UnityPoint, IDDC, and DMOS. You are able to work the hours of this position which will fall between 7AM - 4:30PM, Monday through Friday.
Can I do this Job? You must be able to be on the phone or sit at a desk for extended periods of time. You have strong written and oral communication skills. You have a customer service background and are competent with speaking with patients and payers over the phone. You must have a high school diploma or GED and two years of insurance and billing experience. A working professional knowledge of the principles and practices of patient accounts, insurance and claims management is required. A technology savvy individual will thrive in this role. You are a highly organized, driven individual that enjoys seeing a process through the end. A working professional knowledge of the principles and practices of billing or coding is preferred.
